Methodology & honesty

Precomputed money & alignment. Donor money and voting alignment are read from the precomputed MpSectorAlignment table (data as of 17 Jan 2026). This overview deliberately does not re-run the per-MP donor→contract match across all 650 MPs.
The donor→contract link is per-MP. The full chain, donors, the government contracts those donors' companies won, and the votes, is composed on each MP's page via case-insensitive company-name matching (caveated there). Open any MP above to see it.
Alignment NULL ≠ 0%. A sector with no tagged votes has no alignment signal and shows n/a, never 0%. Sector and per-MP averages are computed only over rows that actually have tagged votes.
Correlation ≠ causation. A donation appearing alongside aligned voting does not prove the donation caused the vote. MPs may vote with an industry for legitimate policy reasons.
Contracts are won, not awarded. Where contracts appear on an MP's chain, they were contracts won by a donor's company, they were not awarded by the MP.
